Kavya Rajee Aravazhi
Ever since her childhood, Kavya had a great interest towards dancing, and hence never missed an opportunity to participate in dance programmes on various platforms. The intense passion motivated her to seek professional training for dance. Although she has watched different styles of dancing from South India, she was particularly attracted towards Odissi, a unique and different style of dancing. Impressed by the dance videos and pictures posted on the website, she approached Deepam Odissi Academy. She has been fortunate enough to have Ms.Aishwarya Hegde as her teacher who has been a great tool in unraveling the various forms of this great art - Odissi to her for the past 5 years. Ms.Aishwara Hegde, director of the Deepam Odissi Academy has been instrumental in showcasing her artistic skills at the Indian Embassy alongside my fellow mates. It is impeccable that they continued their online recital even during the times of COVID pandemic, depicting the fact that nothing could stop them from learning. This has had a positive impact on her personal as well as her academic life, and has greatly helped in her overall wellbeing.
Art could be compared to water, taking different dimensions, and hence she feels that there should be a continuous flow of art forms in the forms of performances. This would serve as a platform to display her dancing skills, and to enliven this divine art form to the people.
