The learning process from her is so interesting that I could understand the small milestones I was achieving
Randomly scrolling through facebook, I found out about Deepam. I joined Deepam and started my journey to learn Odissi. The first hour with Aiswarya Mam was such a great space that i fell in love with Odissi and I decided to enroll immediately. The learning process from her is so interesting that I could understand the small milestones I was achieving. The warm up routine at Deepam helps me focus on the minor corrections and alignment in my body. I throughly enjoy the process of learning odissi here. Each isolated movement of Odissi has and Aishwarya walks us through every movement with patience and detail. I love my Deepam family and I’m so proud that I chose them

I joined Deepam under the dynamism of Aishwarya who has proved to be a tremendous source of encouragement and an excellent teacher of Odissi.
My association with Aishwarya dates back to when the spritely young teenager performed her elegantly choreographed arangetram at the Al Bustan Palace Hotel. Her proud parents honoured me with the role of the mistress of ceremonies for the evening which I thoroughly enjoyed as I watched Aishwarya perform with great elan under the eagle eye of her zealous guru Deepak Roy!!
Having seen professional Odissi performances in my college years, I was totally mesmerized by Sonal Mansingh and others. I admired this graceful and sensuous dance form for many years however never got to learn it. In September 2018, I joined Deepam under the dynamism of Aishwarya who has proved to be a tremendous source of encouragement and an excellent teacher of Odissi. Her patient yet rigorous classes make me walk out with a sense of euphoria no matter how tired I am at the end of a working day!! My journey with Odissi has just begun but I feel confident that with Aishwarya I will continue on this path no matter how hard it gets ! Thank you Aishwarya for having faith in me and for your wonderful attitude as you make me a part of the Odissi odyssey!!

Aishwarya is a brilliant teacher and and has tailor made the course to suit our capabilities! Besides dancing, we enjoy our chats and light moments!!
My tryst with Odissi, started a year back and it’s been a great journey so far. I had never have envisaged learning a completely new dance form in my 50’s and for this full credit to Ash who convinced me that in spite of my plantar fasciitis,I could do it!! To be honest the first few classes were exacting and the lure of Bollywood music from the studio next door made me wonder if I was taking the wrong classes.
This phase was fleeting and soon I was hooked as Aishwarya is a brilliant teacher and and has tailor made the course to suit our capabilities! Besides dancing, we enjoy our chats and light moments!!
Hope my experience is encouragement for those empty nester moms looking for a hobby and a path to happiness!

Deepam is blessed with a guru who can double up as a friend, pushing to get us over there , encouraging to push our limits , considering our problems gives all the more reason to enjoy Odissi.
All my life I have always had multiple crushes on different dance forms but somehow the classical dance forms have always remained my serious affairs. After formally training in Bharatnatyam, I always wanted to venture into a different form, it just took an informal suggestion by one of my friends regarding Deepam classes and Odissi. To be brutally honest, I had absolutely no idea regarding the dance form and the class either but decided to give it a try and look..my affair is gradually getting stronger and shaping up beautifully. I started enjoying my chaukas and tribhangis, meeting like minded women who are equally dedicated and passionate about the dance started inspiring me..the atmosphere , flexibility ,support as a student offered is commendable. And Deepam is blessed with a guru who can double up as a friend, pushing to get us over there , encouraging to push our limits , considering our problems gives all the more reason to enjoy Odissi.

Aishwarya’s dedication to learn constantly and teach with encouragement and enthusiasm, altering the class based on the capacity of her students, is what makes her an excellent guide for the young and the old, into this beautiful world of Odissi.
I started learning Odissi way back in 1994 with Sir and the word “Sir” took a whole other meaning in my home after that. My family knew who I was talking about when I said “Sir”, because there was no other teacher for whom I had so much love, respect and appreciation. Being trained by Sir for so many years, he instilled in us a love for the arts, a keen eye for detail, the importance of working towards perfection and the joy of dancing.
It brings me so much happiness to see Aishwarya taking over from Sir. Her dedication to learn constantly and teach with encouragement and enthusiasm, altering the class based on the capacity of her students, is what makes her an excellent guide for the young and the old, into this beautiful world of Odissi. I wish Sir, Aishwarya and Deepam all the very best for the new and exciting events which lie ahead.

It is fun and refreshing going to dance class. Now it has been 8 years that I have been learning odissi at Deepam and I look forward to learn a lot more here!
I was much younger when my parents and I watched Tamoghna Dey, one of Deepam’s best dancer perform at an event. I was so inspired by her and that led me to Deepam and my Guru Deepak Roy. As years passed I really enjoyed going to dance class and slowly started loving it. Last year Guru Deepak Roy left for India and so one of his first student, our teacher now, Aishwarya didi teaches us odissi with a lot of love and enthusiasm. It is fun and refreshing going to dance class. Now it has been 8 years that I have been learning odissi at Deepam and I look forward to learn a lot more here!

Deepam will always be a space where dancers or anyone interested in starting something new are welcome to learn, grow and have fun together, making exuberant memories to look back on in the process.
I had a penchant for dancing from a very young age. Back in grade 1, my grandmother acknowledged my ever growing interest and decided that I should begin my training in a classical dance form, namely Odissi. I was very excited to attend my first class with Deepak Sir. His motivation and ability to make the system of learning enjoyable is what made dance classes with him so vivid and consequential.
Ever since Aishwarya didi undertook the role of a teacher, she has continued to train the upcoming dancers with utmost sincerity and dedication. Her passion towards Odissi is commendable. Deepam has been thriving for years because of Deepak Sir and it continues to thrive due to Aishwarya’s enthusiasm. Deepam will always be a space where dancers or anyone interested in starting something new are welcome to learn, grow and have fun together, making exuberant memories to look back on in the process.

The whole environment of Deepam is extremely positive and joyous. Along with Odissi, Yogas and dance exercises have enhanced or learning process.
I joined Deepam in 2010, my inclination towards dance got me here. I loved Odissi since the day I saw it. Deepam has been like a family to me.
Dance classes were extremely fun with Deepak sir. He was open minded in his approach and almost like a friend to us. After sir left, Aishwarya continued to conduct the classes and the same spirit of Deepam remained. Aishwarya follows a rigorous workout sessions but the classes are just as interesting and challenging as they were with Sir. The whole environment of Deepam is extremely positive and joyous. Along with Odissi, Yogas and dance exercises have enhanced or learning process. Everyday we learn something new and Deepam is now a part of my life.

We happened to see the Odissi performance of one of the students of Deepam and that’s when we realised how beautiful this art form is.
Hailing from the south of India,we were not much aware of the classical art form Odissi though we had just studied about it in school.
We happened to see the Odissi performance of one of the students of Deepam and that’s when we realised how beautiful this art form is. With it’s delicate and graceful moves, not to miss the striking postures and torso movements. Our 5 yr old daughter Ameya began her dance journey with Aiswarya mam at Deepam Dance Academy. She is a very humble and friendly teacher and this attitude of hers has made the children feel at home. Proud to have a talented teacher like her.

Deepam has been and always will be a huge part of me and now, even 13 years later, I consider myself to still be an amateur who has just begun to venture into this world.
The first time I saw an Odissi performance was when I was 5 years old and since then, it called out to me. Guru Deepak Roy lovingly took me in as one of his first youngest students and taught me not just this beautiful dance form but life lessons that I carry with me to this day. He became like my second father with whom I used to spend a huge part of my days dancing, talking and, sometimes, eating the small dishes he used to make. Aishwarya, who has now taken over from our Guru, is not just my teacher but a friend and someone who continues to inspire and push me to find my way in life. Deepam has been and always will be a huge part of me and now, even 13 years later, I consider myself to still be an amateur who has just begun to venture into this world.

Whether you're looking to learn a specific style of dance or just want to try something new, Aishwarya is an excellent teacher and an inspiration to anyone looking to pursue their passion for dance, no matter what age they are.
I had the pleasure of taking Odissi dance lessons at Deepam from Aishwarya and I cannot recommend her enough. Her dedication to the art of Odissi dance is truly inspiring, and it is evident in her teaching style. She not only teaches the dance movements but also the cultural significance and history behind each step, making the learning experience enriching and fulfilling.
Her passion for dance is contagious, and she creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere in her classes. Her patience and attention to detail ensure that each student understands the nuances of the dance, and her positive reinforcement motivates students to push themselves to reach their full potential.
Aishwarya is an exceptional teacher who goes above and beyond to support her students. She provides individual feedback, guidance, and encouragement, making each student feel seen and valued. Thanks to her dedication and expertise, I have not only learned Odissi dance but also gained a deeper appreciation for the art form.
As a 35-year-old with little prior dance experience, I was hesitant to try something new and felt self-conscious about my abilities. However, Aishwarya immediately put me at ease with her patient and encouraging teaching style. She has an innate ability to break down complex dance moves into simple steps and build on them gradually, ensuring that I understood each step before moving on. It’s been 4 years now and there is no turning back.
Not only did I improve my dance skills under her guidance, but I also gained confidence in my abilities. Whether you're looking to learn a specific style of dance or just want to try something new, Aishwarya is an excellent teacher and an inspiration to anyone looking to pursue their passion for dance, no matter what age they are.

The time that I am able to dedicate towards this divine art form, has been a time that disconnects me from the noise of the world outside and secures me to oneness of mind and body.
As a person with inexpressible passion towards classical dance forms, I find Odissi a very humbling pathway to introspection, intense resonance and a closer walk with our inner being. The time that I am able to dedicate towards this divine art form, has been a time that disconnects me from the noise of the world outside and secures me to oneness of mind and body. Stark different from other dance forms, Odissi is bound to discipline you in ways that you can never imagine, and leads you into a world of self-fulfillment and peace. Aishwarya is not only a coach but also an educator par excellence and with learning Odissi, we also led into a window where we witness this beautiful art form conjoin hands with all subjects, including mathematics, music, history, geography and many more. Truly blessed to be part of the classes!

The atmosphere at Deepam is very warm and meditative and the classes are fun, with each session being more intense than the previous one!
I stumbled upon Deepam after years of search for a professional classical dance school here in Muscat.Being trained in Bharatnatyam at a younger age, I was familiar with the nuances of other classical dance forms, but Odissi with its subtle sensuality and grace was a pleasant surprise.!!
I've been a student at Deepam for almost 4 years now and the journey has been wonderful . The atmosphere at Deepam is very warm and meditative and the classes are fun, with each session being more intense than the previous one! ( We do have our lighter moments in between).Aishwarya truly is a standout teacher because of her sheer dedication to the art form and her students. She is very friendly and approachable and she pushes us to do our best.Through her classes, I’ve learnt a great deal about body alignment and posture, that form the basic framework of Odissi. The fact that different age groups dance together on one floor is in itself a joyful experience. I am happy to have found a perfect guru in Aishwarya and I hope to continue this beautiful journey with Deepam Odissi Academy. I would recommend Deepam to everyone looking for a professional odissi dance school in Oman.
